This week we have been spoilt with sun filled days and those winter blues are starting to be stripped away with our winter woolies. It is a magical time in Tasmania when the days start to get longer and the sun fights it's way through the clouds, The promise of summer is everywhere. It is dreamy days like today drenched in sunshine and not a cloud in the sky that has us reminiscing of summer days gone.
Over summer last year we held our largest market to date.. we had over 40 stall holders come along and open their wardrobes to the public. During set up I was mesmerised by the flow of things. The amazing transformation of a blank canvas into a busy shopping mecca, it was honestly everything I had dreamed of and yet so much more than I could of imagined. I mean saying 40 stalls is something but actually seeing them all set up.. wow. It was organised chaos that soon became an amazing array of colour, clothing and smiling faces. The outside stall holders were beaming in the sun and their clothes blowing lightly in the breeze. Whilst inside was busy with a constant crowd of chitter chatter and clothing being passed from one hand to the next. There were people asking one another for their opinion on the items they were trying on, making friends and sharing their finds with one another, I took so much pride in all the work that every body put in and the amazing sense of community that was created. From the stall holders to the gorgeous customers that brought the vibes and good times it was such a great day to be apart of. As our spring market approaches and stall spaces start to fill up we are looking forward to welcoming the sun and hosting stall spaces outside once again. Our stall holders are busy rustling through their wardrobes pulling out a mixture of winter woolies and summer goodies from seasons past and seasons still to come. The spring market is one of my favourite times to shop. It is the timing between seasons that makes it so perfect. You can find such a variety of items and it's the perfect time to mix and match that floral maxi with cropped knit, get stocked up ready for summer or find some amazing winter piece bargains to get you through the last of the season and into the next. If you would like to know more about our spring market and see some sneak peeks as to what will be on offer head over to our Facebook event page to see notifications for market day. There are still stalls spaces available for those who wish to spring cleanse their wardrobe and sell their wares at our market, contact us through our Facebook page or via the contact tab on our website. See you all on market day xo Here are some snaps from our spring and summer markets last year.

The Clothing Cupboard Blog
There is just something so inspiring about markets and re-loving clothing. I love seeing the diversity of clothing when it is re-loved & peoples personalities spill out through their wardrobe. Previous Posts
